How has the current Covid-19 situation affected your daily operation?
Western Financial Place Aquatic Center is currently closed to the public
What positive or uplifting things are you seeing during this situation?
I am seeing collaboration between regions, governing bodies and public health that is encouraging for creating consistent, safe and healthy recreation for all members of communities when the time is right. The discussions going on between agencies is thoughtful, inclusive and paving the way forward in this time of COVID-19
How are you finding joy right now?
As a Department we are starting to focus on positive community engagement. Keeping families connected to the importance of swimming and water safety as provincial parks start to open up for day use.
Is there anything specific you would like to share or wish people knew right now?
As a community we can positively navigate through our new normal. Being outside and recreating will do wonders for the mental health of the whole family.
